2019 Nebraska MTSS Summit
May 8, 2019
The Nebraska Department of Education’s Office of Special Education will host its 2019 Nebraska MTSS Summit Sept. 4-6 at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney, Neb.
This year’s summit, “Better Together,” features presenters from Nebraska and around the country who will share their expertise in developing a Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) to help schools promote success for all students — from pre-kindergarten through graduation.
The summit provides an overview of MTSS practices in Nebraska, and is intended to help Nebraska educators better understand the various aspects of the framework and to identify areas in their school setting that warrant future professional development.
The three-day event offers opportunities for networking and resource sharing, with sessions and keynotes exploring evidenced-based practices, leadership, systems, and new strategies and insights to enhance core and intervention within both Academic and Behavioral MTSS.
Attendees will participate in a variety of breakout sessions with national experts and hear from Nebraskans who are currently building MTSS supports. They will highlight their work, successes and lessons learned.
Anyone interested in learning about the MTSS framework is welcome to attend. The registration fee is $125 and includes a working lunch.
