Research Summary

Outcomes from publisher study were difficult to interpret due to lack of clarity regarding study design, participant demographic information, and effect size reporting. Outcomes from independent research indicated direct instruction interventions appeared to be the most successful interventions for ELL students. The results of the interventions did not appear to be specific to the Early Interventions in Reading program.
