Description: This webinar provides a “crash course” on active student engagement, an evidence-based strategy for teaching that can help Nebraska schools and districts achieve the goals set forth in their Targeted Improvement Plans (TIPs).
This webinar will:
– Discuss how TIPs are part of a Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) Framework.
– Define active student engagement as an evidence-based practice at the Tier 1 Core level.
– Explore the major elements of active student engagement within the scope of content, design of instruction, delivery of instruction and practice for effective implementation.
– Identify active student engagement examples for Tier 1 Core instruction at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
