“PBIS in the Classroom” will take place Feb. 1, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST (8 a.m. to 2 p.m MST) and will include a 30-minute lunch break. District and school administrators and leadership teams from across Nebraska are encouraged to participate.

Registration is now open and participants are asked to pre-register to receive the Zoom information via email. Click here to register.

Why should you attend?

Implementing effective classroom practices as part of our Tier 1 Core supports impacts academic learning time and student achievement while ensuring a positive learning environment. Implementing these evidence-based practices has been shown to maximize learning for all students while decreasing the likelihood of unwanted behavior.

What to expect

Teams will receive information on six effective classroom practices as well as tools and resources to promote the use of these practices in classrooms. Participants will then be better equipped to support classroom teachers in their districts and schools. There will also be time for participants to work with team members and receive implementation support from the presenters.

Participants will:

  • Learn tools needed to set classrooms up for success.
  • Understand the importance of building relationships.
  • Identify preventative practices in the classroom and how to support staff in using these practices in their classrooms.
  • Recognize effective responses to unwanted behavior and how to support staff in using these practices in their classrooms.
