Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT™)
The Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT™) is used to measure how well teachers serving children ages 2-5 are using Pyramid Model practices. This can be a helpful resource when setting goals with your coach and it measures growth over time.
Pyramid Model Implementation Checklist
The Pyramid Model Implementation Checklist was developed during the pandemic to support programs that could not access TPOT™ observations. This tool can also be used as a shortened version of the Inventory of Practice.
Inventory of Practices for Promoting Social-Emotional Competence
The Inventory of Practices is designed to be used by individuals and/or teams to identify training needs and plan a course of action to address those needs related to four general areas: (a) building positive relationships, (b) creating supportive environments, (c) social-emotional teaching strategies and (d) individualized intensive interventions.
The Inventory encourages individual self-reflection, opportunities for teaming between classroom teachers, mentor coaches, supervisors, site directors and other administrators, and promotes effective practices for classroom teachers.
