The Road to Continuous Improvement: Sustaining an MTSS Framework
Part 3: Organization Drivers: Data-Based Decision-Making
The Nebraska Multi-tiered System of Support (NeMTSS) team has developed a four-part webinar series to guide and support the implementation of critical components of an MTSS framework for continuous improvement.
The series will directly align with the NeMTSS Framework Document and consist of four parts: NeMTSS Teaming Structures, Leadership Drivers, Organization Drivers for Data-Based Decision-Making and Competency Drivers for Staff Support. Four videos will be released incrementally between April and August 2024.
The third part of the series, Organization Drivers: Data-Based Decision-Making, is now available.
Part 3: Organization Drivers: Data-Based Decision-Making
The Organization Drivers for Data-Based Decision-Making webinar includes eight different chapters in one video that introduce key features of data-based decision-making that drive continuous improvement.
Viewers will learn about data and decision-making at various levels, including:
- Districts
- Communities
- Families
- School
- Schedule making
- Collaborative teams
- Students
Each chapter in the video will highlight how to use data-based decision-making to drive continuous improvement at the PK-12 district, school, collaborative and student levels; engage families and communities; and create schedules for success at all levels. It will also provide examples for action planning using a problem-solving model to enhance Tier 1 core systems and practices, and identify, implement and reflect on Tier 2 targeted supports and Tier 3 intensified supports.
Tips for watching the videos
- Individual viewers, as well as teams, can benefit from watching these videos to strengthen their leadership skills.
- Viewers should plan to spend about 10-20 minutes per chapter watching and reflecting on the content in each video.
- It is recommended educators watch the webinars in chapter order to understand the key features of how leadership drives continuous improvement. However, each district/school can choose to watch the series in the order that best fits their continuous improvement needs, and will benefit from watching all chapters.
Why should districts/schools watch?
By creating this series and sharing it with Nebraska educators, the NeMTSS team aims to support schools working on continuous improvement through the use of a strong multi-tiered system of support.
What’s next?
The final webinar in the series will be available in our media library soon — Part 4: Competency Drivers: Staff Support (August 2024).
