2024 Nebraska MTSS Summit

Participant Information

Below are important details and tips for participating in the summit in person or virtually.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us.

In Person

  • Review the map of the Younes Center to help you navigate the conference center.
  • Download the Sched App. All registrants were sent an email with instructions for how to access the event via Sched. In order to reduce waste, the session summaries will be available in digital format only at the summit. Limited print outs of the at-a-glance schedule will be available at registration.
  • Join us at the networking event on Thursday evening. If you pre-registered, your name tag will have a small gold asterisk on it. If you would still like to join us and didn’t register already, ask an NeMTSS team member how to register when you get your name tag Thursday morning.

Virtual

Accessing Zoom Links

Zoom links for hybrid sessions will be available only in the Sched app. All registrants were sent an email with instructions for how to access the event via Sched. The breakout summaries document indicates sessions that are hybrid or in person only.

Change your Zoom background

Update your Zoom virtual background to tell us a little bit about you (see instructions):

  • Green — first-time summit participants
  • Orange— past summit participants
Zoom listening tips

Please remember to:

  • Join the meeting from a quiet space without distractions.
  • Remain muted unless you are in a discussion.
  • Be aware of your surroundings on camera. The Younes Conference Center’s technology enables us to project Zoom participants on a screen visible to the presenters and in-person attendees.
  • Check that your Zoom software is updated to the latest version.
  • Use headphones for the best audio quality.

Share your feedback

Please take a few moments to complete an evaluation for each session you attend. You’ll use the same link for all evaluations. Simply select sessions from the options provided. Your feedback is important and will be used to inform and improve future events.

Process and Planning Space

In alignment with our commitment to offer High-Quality Professional Development (HQPD), a designated process and planning space will be available at this year’s summit.

Teams may use this space to gather, debrief and action plan around shared learning from summit sessions. The space, located in Silver 10, will be open from 12:30-5:00 p.m. on Thursday and 10:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Friday. Regional Support Leads will be available to assist teams in planning and processing learning from summit sessions.

To take full advantage of the professional development offered through the summit, we suggest the following pre-planning take place with participating teams:

  1. Review the schedule and breakout summaries to identify the sessions team members will attend.
  2. Write goals and expected outcomes from attending the summit. Goals may be tied to the NeMTSS Essential Elements or your Continuous Improvement Plan.
  3. Plan a time for processing individually and with the team.

If you have any questions or need help brainstorming or writing goals, please reach out to your Regional Support Lead.
