Research Summary
There was no peer-reviewed research found on the revised version of the curriculum (2020). However, Florida Center for Reading Research examined how student reading score differ based on students who use the Heggerty program compared to their typical reading instruction. The results showed that there were no significant differences in end-of-year reading achievement. Additionally, despite what reading instruction they were given, student performed the same on overall reading achievement, phonological awareness, and early reading skills.
