Program Description

Wonders, a comprehensive PreK–6 literacy solution, is designed to meet the challenges of today’s classroom and reach all learners. A wealth of research-based print and digital resources provide unmatched support for building strong literacy foundations, accessing complex fiction and nonfiction texts, writing to sources, and building social emotional learning skills. Whether in the core classroom, an English language learner, or benefiting from intervention support, Wonders provides students equity of access to rich texts and rigorous instruction. According to EdReport’s Science of Reading Snapshot, this program addresses 5/5 foundational literacy components for grades K-2, and 4/5 for grades 3-5.

Research Summary

Note: Wonders 2023 is an updated version of the Wonders program. Studies from 2015 published by McGraw Hill showed that McGraw Hill Reading Wonders had a positive effect on student acheivement. Wonders 2023 was published in 2023, and to date, there have not been any studies conducted to determine the efficacy of this program. Therefore, there is insufficient evidence to support this program at this time.
