Research & Evaluation
Research Summary
In a literature review, two non peer-reviewed studies, and one peer-reviewed study were found. One study found that in a large sample of K-1st grade students, those participating in the DreamBox intervention made greater gains in NWEA MAP Math domains and overall math scores than their control counterparts. Similarly, another study found that for every 20 minutes a student spent on DreamBox, their MAP score increased by 2.5 points. One peer-reviewed study found that compared to students reciving another online math intervention (Zearn), those using DreamBox had higher posttest numeracy and geometry scores.
