Research & Evaluation
Research Summary
The publisher provides multiple reports of case studies conducted across states in the U.S on their website. One study found that struggling students who participated in the S.P.I.R.E. program demonstrated significant learning gains in their general level of reading achievement, comprehension, and fluency, as well as their retell fluency. Another found that students with disabilities made significant gains in reading. No peer reviewed research was found. Consequently, there is insufficient evidence to support this program's efficacy at this time.
