No peer reviewed research on the Just Right Reader decodable books at this time. Therefore, there is insufficient evidence to support this program at this time. A non-peer reviewed study by Schechter and Janakiefski (2024) suggests that the Just Right Reader group appeared to have more progress than the control group; however, that difference was not statistically significant.
