Research Summary
There is no peer reviewed research available on the 6 + 1 Trait Writing program. The publisher produced a report in 2011 that showed that students in the treatment condition scored higher on writing achievement assessments than students in the control condition. In addition, teachers in the treatment condition were more likely to adhere to the writing model than the teachers in the control condition.
