Research & Evaluation
Research Summary
The WWC report on SpellRead found significantly positive outcomes on students’ performance on alphabetics, reading fluency, and comprehension. A literature review also revealed statistically significant positive outcomes for students’ performance in phonological awareness and decoding, reading accuracy, comprehension, and spelling when compared to groups who received only regular classroom reading instructions.
