Research & Evaluation
Research Summary
Literature revealed two peer-reviewed studies, one quantitative (Kampmann & Bwone, 2020) and one qualitative (Morrison et al., 2019). A case study, by Kampmann & Bowne (2020), revealed that preschool children with special needs generally had improvement in one or more areas of social competencies. Qualitative data from Morrison et al. (2019) revealed mixed impressions from teachers and principals. Given the limited peer-reviewed literature with strong experimental designs, there is insufficient evidence to support the efficacy of Harmony Academy at this time.
