Research & Evaluation
Research Summary
Findings for Lively Letters are inconclusive. Pilot studies indicated significant gains in desired skills, however, no control groups were used and most used DIBELS for assessments. One doctoral dissertation found mixed evidence for the program, stating that students with disabilities made gains on a number of subtests (but not all) from a phonics assessment post-implementation of the program.
