Research & Evaluation
Research Summary
Literature review revealed two studies examining the efficacy of the Skillstreaming curriculum on adolescent students. One study found significant differences in teacher ratings of the students’ cooperation but no achievement improvements post-intervention. Another study found that male adolescents experienced a reduction in depression and maintained their improved level of functioning post-intervention. However, there were no significant improvements in female adolescents in this study. Due to the sample size, methodology, and peer-reviewed status of the studies, there is insufficient evidence to support this program's efficacy at this time.
