"Sixty grade-level lessons provide comprehensive coverage of standards—national editions and Texas editions. The modular design lets you select the skills your students need to develop. Step-by-step guidance and scripting for each part of the lesson makes Reading Express easy to use. Flexible planning lets you teach a focused minilesson in as little as 10 to 20 minutes or use in an intensive skill development block. Robust data-driven assessment and monitoring helps you diagnose skill gaps, track performance, and evaluate progress using either online or pencil and paper assessment tools. Reading Express offers extensive ELL support, with complete ELL lessons for each standard that build academic vocabulary, introduce concepts, and practice skills."

Research & Evaluation
Research Summary
Literature review revealed one study with confounding factors. Participants demonstrated an increase in general reading achievement, however, some participants also received one-on-one instruction in the school’s Reading Recovery program, so their improvement cannot be determined to be solely due to Reading Express.
